我应用openoffice办公已经20天
先申明一下，我在中国内地，机子上没有繁体拼音。
安装suse10.0,里面自带openoffice2.0，感觉很好用。原来在win下用vf, linux下没有，base又不熟悉，很遗憾。希望能有base的详细说明书。
openoffice各种文档打印于win下的office不大一样，特别是打印区域和页码设定，不习惯。另外，崩溃的次数比较多，担心会损坏文档（到现在还没有损坏过）。运行速度比office慢，虽然文件比office的小，但打开速度和存盘速度仍然慢。write很好用，比word好用。字体设置，段落设置都很直观。但兼容word还是不足，表现在段落格式不一致。word设定的，在write下会错行。
总得来说，比较喜欢。由于桌面已改成linux，所以，不再回到win下，希望能较快熟悉base,构建linux下的小型管理系统。

Btw: Do you really use 拼音 to write Chinese? (OK, 注音 is also a kind of 拼音...) On SuSE, you can try to install SCIM, there is a 智能拼音 that allows you to write both 简体 and 繁體...

智能拼音 (Smart pinyin), that's the one to look for if you really want to use 漢語拼音 as IME. It's (unfortunately) not OpenSource, but it's free.

The only two Windows programs I run on one of my Linux machines are Steam and Day of Defeat, for everything else there is an equivalent on Linux.
Yes, I have some weird formatting sometimes when I open DOC files in OO on Linux, but that is mostly due to two reasons:
1) missing fonts
Solutions: If you have Windows licenses anyway, you can copy the relevant Windows fonts onto the Linux machine. Or you use OO's replacement table (Tools - Options - OpenOffice.org - Fonts). Or you get free (Chinese) fonts, copy them to all machines and tell everyone in your organization to use those.
2) weird formatting
Solution: Create templates for everything in your organization and tell everyone to use them. (You might need to teach them how to use templates correctly...)
