Why can I not import password protected MS Office files?

Microsoft does not encrypt their protected files. In the past, we simply imported those documents as unprotected files. Naturally, this represents a security violation and which many enterprises were unhappy about. 你可以到openoffice 的網站下載openoffice 2.0,其實是 1.9.65版，它只是測試版本，但是可以開啟ms office設定password的文件，開啟時會跳出輸入password的選項。
