The first time I read a DOC file with Staroffice (payware version of OO) was almost
ten (10) years ago. Since then I used SO (and later OO) multiple times to repair DOC files. So, I think OO is pretty mature.
However, there are a few traps:
- MS has never published the specs for their DOC format, so everything has to be found out through reverse engineering.
- Files with double-byte characters (Chinese, Korean, Japanese) are harder to handle than files in single-byte languages.
- And last but not least, users often don't know how to correctly format files.
(There are more problems, actually...)
So, can you perhaps be a bit more specific? 檔案内容是?用OO開之後發生了哪一些事情?
Btw, if you want to have fun: Find someone with a Mac and open your file using his Word for Mac. You may find that "Word還沒能支援Word的格式"...

"Er, five."
"Wrong! You see?"
