政府為微軟產品要少花25%?

I can't believe it. I mean, this is Taiwan, Microsoft's paradise. How can they do this?

On second thought:

I just read this in a German IT news article. Has anyone more infos?

So the story is a bit different: In the German news, it sounds a bit like they had cut the software budget, so the government would have to use more opensource software, but in the Chinese news it reads like they only want to pay less to MS, but still use their products.

I really liked MS' response:

I LOVE intelligent quotes. You have to admit, MS is employing smart people...

OK, seriously again: I wish instead of "bashing" Microsoft they had made a commitment for open standards or even more opensource software. The current move looks more like "I want to use your products, but I want them cheaper, give me a discount." Well, it is a beginning...
